What data we collect and why
Appointments & Calendar Sync
When you book an appointment through our site, you may optionally sync it to your Google Calendar. This feature uses the Amelia Booking plugin and Google’s Calendar API.
We only request access to insert your appointment as a one-time event (calendar.events).
The app does not read, modify, store, or share any other calendar data. We do not use calendar data for ads, analytics, or tracking. You can revoke access anytime via your Google Account settings.
We comply with Google’s API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use policy.
WooCommerce Orders
When you place a product order, we collect the personal data you provide (name, email, shipping info). This is used only to fulfill your order and communicate with you.
Order details may be securely shared with:
Stripe or PayPal (for payment)
WooCommerce (to manage your order)
MailerLite (if you opt into emails)
Rocket.net (our secure website host)
We never sell or trade your data.
Newsletter Signup (MailerLite)
If you subscribe to updates, your email address is securely stored with MailerLite. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in the email footer.
Comments
When guests leave comments, we collect the data shown in the form, plus your IP address and browser user agent to help detect spam.
If you use Gravatar, your anonymized email hash may be sent to Gravatar’s servers.

If you upload images (like testimonials), avoid including embedded location data (EXIF GPS), as it may be accessible to others.
Cookies

Embedded Content

Analytics & Tracking
We use tools like Google Analytics to understand how guests use the site — what pages they visit, how long they stay, and how they found us.
When Google Signals is enabled, this may include anonymous, aggregated insights about visitors who are signed in to their Google accounts and have given permission. This includes cross-device activity and basic demographic data like age, gender, and interests. It helps us improve the site experience and better serve our community.

Payment Data, Card on File & Deletion Requests
We securely collect and store limited payment data when guests book services through our website. Card information is encrypted and stored by Stripe — your full card number is never visible to us. A valid card on file is required to request or confirm appointments. This helps us uphold our cancellation and no-show policy fairly and efficiently. Under California privacy law (CCPA/CPRA), you have the right to request removal of your saved card at any time. You can do this in two ways:

Please note: submitting a card removal request does *not* cancel upcoming appointments or waive cancellation/no-show fees as outlined in our [Booking Agreements](/agreements).
SMS Opt-In Data Privacy
Your phone number and SMS opt-in status are never shared, sold, or transferred to any third party. SMS data is used only by Erin Reye Hair to send the messages described above — nothing more, nothing shady.
You can request removal of your SMS consent and phone number anytime by texting us or emailing erin@erinreyehair.com. I got you.
